Big W Western Saddle Vintage 15 Spotted Set w Headstall+Breast Collar+Tapaderos

Very nice used classic vintage Big W Western Saddlery 15 Diamond Spotted Matching Parade Set with Bridle and Breast Collar. Square short 24 1/2 skirt with single rigging and rear billets. Padded seat is 15 and has a wide cantle. Gorgeous 2 tone finish with tooling and the makers mark is stamped on the fender. Diamond spots on all pieces and they all look to be in place. Old style quick change buckles and wooden monkey nose stirrups that are in very good condition. Stamped #436 behind the seat. There is a matching breast collar and headstall. There are no bit or reins with it, headstall only. The set was bought new and is a one owner saddle. Prior owner is now 80+ and no longer rides. Very good condition overall for the age with expected normal signs of use. Very pretty matching set! I do have lots of pictures of this set so contact me if you need anything specific. Heaviest one we ever had. Our TB passed last year so we have no use. We got this from a friend years ago that used it when he was a kid late 60s early 70s he bought it used. Thats the best I can do for dating. We always had a climate controlled tak room it was kept in then it hung in our house. Needs cleaning and needs to be used. Saddle is rough out with a fancy stitched seat and jockeys. The billet keeper is stamped Circle Y. It is an older saddle before they used the tin oval serial number tags. Simco Vintage Filigree Silver Tooled Pleasure Saddle 15

Beautiful vintage Simco pleasure/show saddle. I do not know the exact age but my best guess would be from the 1980’s. The seat is 15.5″ to the stitching but the shape and angle of it will make it sit a little smaller, more like a snug 15″. Semi QH bars, please see the measurement picture to decide for yourself. Beautiful tooling and really cool. I took one piece of silver off, it was not marked. I don’t think it’s Sterling Overlaid, probably plated or very good German silver. It polished up very well. I see not damage or that any repairs have been made. The leather is soft all over and shows signs of very light normal wear, actually very light considering it’s age. Comes with nylon cinch strap, leather off billet and the original tooled leather billet straps….. Does not come with the flank cinch. The skirts are 26 and it weighs about 26lbs. Guaranteed solid tree and rigging. Please view all the pictures, we try to describe everything accurately, but nothing tells a story like a picture.
