1940s TED FLOWERS SIGNED THE SPOT SHOP RARE PARADE SADDLE 2 BREAST COLLARS VTG
VINTAGE EARLY ORIGINAL TED FLOWERS SADDLE WITH A RARE “THE SPOT SHOP ALEXANDRIA INDIANA” EMBLEM. Note: This is also being offered for sale locally. Comes with what I believe are two different breast collars; one personalized with “WILDFIRE”. I do know that it has been sitting on display in a lodge for a minimum of 12 years but possibly up to 20 or more years. I no nothing about horses or tack but will try to answer any questions you may have. The saddle needs cleaned and should probably be restored. I suppose it could be museum worthy for historical display purposes and could be displayed as is. The seat measures 14.5 (measured with rigid tape measure from base of horn to back of seat where leather ends and the silver begins). Some black leather areas are worn to brown. It is missing 1 of the square horsehead Conchos (at the top of one of the six decorative silver embellished drops) and some smaller pieces of silver also missing on the drops (1 rectangle wrap around and one or two tips at ends of drops). Some of the silver is bent and most notably dented are the ends of the swell/fork. There is some rust and tarnish. Some leather is worn and some strapping is stiff. The metal strap buckles above the stirrup section each have a single boat Anchor marking on the back which I believe are North & Judd Manufacturing or Anchor Brand and may point to the saddle being very early and possibly an L. I will include at no additional charge the stand you see pictured. I welcome any questions you may have so please message me. RARE RELIC, GREAT COLLECTIBLE!

Rare 1890s SC Gallup Pueblo Style Slick Fork Saddle with Brass Horn
Antique1890s Samuel Caldwell Gallup Pueblo Style Slick-Fork Stock Saddle. Made in Pueblo Colorado by the S. Saddle has a 16 inch seat. The saddle has a exposed brass horn. These were the hallmark of high-end Pueblo saddles favored by trail bosses, stock contractors and wealthy ranchers. The Rugged “Pueblo Style” saddle was built to handle the tough work of cowboys breaking horses and working cattle. The saddle has the original leather lace adjustment for the stirrups. Saddle has simple clean tooling – classic border stamping along edges of the cantle and fork. Leather is in overall good condition still supple no cracking. The saddle is a museum worthy example of Colorado rich saddle making history. Saddle is in very good complete condition for a working peace of late 19th century cowboy gear. This saddle embodies the rugged and authentic spirit of the American West. Message with any questions.

Assiniboine rawhide ladies saddle. A Plains Indian saddle from the late 1800s. It is a wood frame, wrapped in rawhide. The stitching on the rawhide is amazing. Sinew sewn, tacks and nails. Not many of these authentic ones survive. The vintage Navajo saddle blanket is included with the saddle. This saddle has leather seat covering. According to Wikipedia, Plains Indians or Indigenous peoples of the Great Plains are the Native American tribes and Nation band governments who have historically lived on the Great Plains and Canadian Prairies. While hunting-farming cultures have lived on the Great plains for centuries prior to European contact, the region is most known for the horse cultures that flourished from the 17th century through the late 19th century. Many of them would have ridden in saddles similar to this. This is an awesome collectors piece that would go perfect in your collection! Age: Circa Late 1800s. Size: Smaller sized saddle overall, but it has about a 12 seat. Condition: Pretty good for its age. Wear, imperfections and missing accoutrements expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description.
