12.5- 13 Dale Chavez Show Saddle

With the holiday’s approaching we are trying to get everyone ready. That means we will be listing new saddles and other items over the next few weeks. Today we are offering this Dale Chavez show saddle for sale. Anyone who knows the name Chavez knows the high quality saddles and tack they produce. They are made here in the USA in Temecula, California. This saddle has a 12.5-13 inch suede leather seat. It is completely tooled with the classic basket weave and floral pattern. The silver is super clean and shiny not tarnished or pitted. This saddle does come ready to ride with a off-billet and tie-strap. For those of you who use breast collars it does have “D” rings. The lining is very clean and has no holes or wear spots. As you can see from the pictures the stirrups are pre-turned. The stirrup leathers have been cut and someone has added some extra holes. This should not effect anyone that can fit in this saddle. Measuring from the center on the seat to the last usable hole, we measure 34 inches. It does have nice leather wrapped stirrups. The tree is Rock solid. The horn has no wiggle or wobble. Overall skirt length is 24 inches. Total weight is 27 pounds. Read and Trust our FEEDBACK! Highly Collectible Original Newton Porter Saddle owned by Actor Dale Robertson’s Wife. Porter Saddlery was a very high quality and prominent Saddlery in Phoenix Arizona. Newton Porter made custom saddles that were built for stars of stage, music, sports, as well as captains of industry and various others. Dale’s wife’s Uncle, Orville Bozarth was Sheriff of Prescott, Arizona in the 1950’s. This was his roping saddle that he used for roping and rode in Parades in Prescott. Her Grandfather, Bob Robbins was also Sheriff in Prescott before Orville. Saddle Strings were replaced 25 years ago. Quality Custom Reining Saddle handmade by Dale Tingle (Dale Tingle Performance Horses) Caliente Saddle shop, Corning, CA. 16″ Reiner 27″ Skirt. Nice all around saddle – quality made. Hand tooled flowers – floral design / basket stamped in russet / padded suede seat. Brown Iron and Sterling Silver Texas Star Conchos. 7 Gullet / FQHB leather & rawhide stirrups K & S Buckles, TX (instead of Blevins – same system). USA Made Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Dee Rings – Lined rear Jockeys are nicely scalloped cut on this custom reiner – quality touch. Full Rigging – Halfbreed off billet. Genuine wool fleece is in nice condition. Cutaway fenders for closer contact – roughout fenders and jockey 27 skirt – measuring from the bottom (the lowest part of the skirt). Saddle weighs approx 33 – 34lbs. Extremely comfortable and quality made. Nice well balanced saddle. Very expensive when new. Inspected, cleaned, lightly oiled and protected with a UV wax. Sound saddle – no issues. Supple fenders and jockey. Please ask any questions or message me for any additional pictures. What is included in the inspection? Tree, latigo, off billet, rigging, cinch (if included) all D rings, stirrups, stirrup leathers, blevin buckles, stitching and fleece / wool is all secure and in good safe working order. On collector saddles if the repair is cosmetic only – it will be noted in the listing but left as is. If during the inspection its determined a repair or replacement is needed it will be performed by a qualified saddlesmith only. If it costs more (and it usually does) you never pay a cent more! What can I expect when I receive my new saddle? Your new saddle has been cleaned, oiled and treated with a UV wax. Latigo has been cleaned (if not new) and will be neatly tied. If there is silver silver has been polished. When possible silver has been removed to clean both sides and remove any residue. If saddle has suede seat seat has been cleaned with suede cleaner. Dale Chavez Ranch Western Saddle with 17” Cream colored suede seat. Saddle features full tooling with a basket weave and floral design. Saddle has star berry conchos including small ones to embellish under pommel. Saddle sits on Dale Chavez FQHB tree. Used but in good condition. Saddle has normal wear on seat and fenders. Stirrups have normal wear, but some edges leather has been rubbed open to wood. Saddle has darken in areas over time. Please reference pictures for condition.
