Here is one of our more practical saddles, although with this practical nature comes very pretty embossing all over. Observe photos to see how beautiful and sweeping the leather embossing is all over this saddle, making it impressively ornate for a western saddle. Somehow this all works beautifully. The embossed insignia indicates it is a Saddle King production, with the number 1300 – 16 also stamped on the tag. Dimensions include a 16″ seat, 6.5″ to 7.5″ across bars, and 3.5″ tall horn. Please observe photos because we have seen varied information about measuring the gullet. The seat is black suede in good condition, with some wear in the seat as shown in photos. One billet strap has some wear on one end that is unnoticeable unless you are looking for it. The stirrups are well broken-in wood with steel casings. Stirrups are adjustable for length. The shearling/woolskin on the underside of the saddle is in good, slight worn condition as shown in photos. We were surprised to see that this saddle appears to have a synthetic tree. One of the more impressive and desirable aspects of this saddle is that it is easily handleable and surprisingly lightweight, especially for a 16 seat! The saddle comes with a long girth billet in good condition, but it does not include a girth or rear strap.
