Made by Ray Blair when he was in Cottonwood CA. Half breed acorn tooling, real sheepskin lining, full double rigging with brass dees. The saddle is in great shape for its age. Have been told Ray Blair saddles were nice light weight ladies saddles but were tough built. Weighs 31.5 lbs as pictured. The stirrup fenders have been cut down for a shorter person. I’m 5’9 and the pictures show where I have the stirrups adjusted for myself. The seat measures 16.5″, 16.25″ with the padding. People seem to debate on where the best spot is to measure the gullet, if the picture doesnt suit you then let me know and I’ll take a picture accordingly and send it upon request. The tree is solid. The sheeping is in great condition. I bought brand new back cinch billets the saddle will come with plus a used back cinch. Again, the stirrup fenders have been cut down. And there is some leather between the front and back dee on the onside missing. Should be an easy, cheap fix. The 2 Nettles stirrups pictured are included in the price. If you don’t want them and I’ll adjust the price. This saddle rides nice. I’ve put it on round backed, no withered horses and some slim high withered horses with another pad and it stayed put. My mom bought it after her hip replacement and rode it comfortably. Unfortunately the seat is too big for me and I’m in the market for a cowhorse saddle. I’ll do my best to accommodate. I’d like to see this saddle go to someone who’ll use it and appreciate it rather than collecting dust in my tack room. The item “Ray Blair Cutting Saddle free shipping!
