Great vintage saddle use her or display, was used for Colts and lessons. Strings and rigging is new, tree is solid and rawhide. Gleece which is in alright shape. HAS A SOLID TREE. 12 SEAT SIZE / HARD SEAT. INSIDE OF POMMEL & CANTEL. LEATHER COVERED WOODEN TREE. NARROW TO MEDIUM TREE WIDTH. NEEDS ALL NEW STRAPS TO BE USABLE. SINGLE TONGUE BUCKLE FOR STIRRUP HARDWARE. LEATHER GIRTH STRAP & LEATHER CINCH STRAP. CANVAS BACKED HORSE HAIR PAD. This saddle is a military saddle. There are no identifications on the saddle. This saddle seems to be a mix of original and newer parts. The saddle’s brass seat size tag states 12 inches. This saddle was being used as Military decoration. Before riding again, have an experienced saddle maker check it for safety. It looks like it would need all new straps. It seems like a solid tree on this saddle. The leather is in poor condition considering it’s age. There are surface cracks throughout in the leather. There are a few scrapes & scratches from past usage. Vintage Tex Tan Imperial Fancy Tooled Leather & Silver Western Show Saddle

This is in very good condition with only wear to the top suede on the seat as shown. There is an opening on the top of the saddle as shown where they are showing to measure in the front at the top of the gullet, straight back to the leading top edge of the back cantle. This is marked Tex Tan Imperial as shown, and under one of the straps were numbers pictured for you to see 157I & 66-51109. The has lovely tooled leather all around, with silver on the top of the horn and on the sides, and also twisted all around. This includes the strap I think is a girth, and also a rope girth? Whatever you see, is what you get! Please look closely at my photos for details. See all pics showing seat and gullet measurements, etc. Wide gullet, 7.5. 30″ skirts, tapaderos 16″ tall, saddle weighs 40#, plus bridle and br collar. Bridle and br collar are not original Bona Allen, the bridle is newly made, br coll is same vintage as saddle, been repaired and goes well together. Finish shows wear on quite a few spots up close. There are 4 spots missing on saddle, which we are including new ones to be added. No reins with headstall, bit included. Fleece is good, there is a small place near the front on one side that has a place where fleece is worn. WILL MAKE A GOOD USING PARADE OUTFIT OR GREAT DECORATION FOR HOME, OFFICE OR ANYWHERE YOU LIKE. Vintage serape not included. Vintage Sears & Roebuck J. C. Higgins Brand Saddle 8146 Tapaderos Stirrups Nice

VINTAGE SEARS & ROEBUCK J. 8146 TAPADEROS STIRRUPS NICE! We believe not 100% sure, that this is to be among the few remaining early 1940s about, or 1950’s? Higgins saddles made for the Sears & Roebuck Co by Bona Allen. There are no BA marks on saddle that I can find, but basing on information online. This saddle is numbered 8416 and has the numbers 1225 (which are smaller and above 8416) and complete with the original J. Higgins bucking bronco brand on saddle in front of the saddle horn. The saddle, which is a dark brown, features beautiful floral detailed leather tooling on the skirt and fenders. The leather is still pliable and in great shape for a vintage saddle. This saddle even comes with the tapaderos stirrups which have a heavily stitched leather covering, and the details vary from the front to back, waffle imprint on one side. This saddle is still very durable. Lots of nice adornments on this saddle as well, some new, some older. The sheep skin/lambs wool liner is not in the greatest shape. This would be, as we see it, the biggest concern with this vintage saddle. There could be some hardware missing, please review fully for details. This stunning saddle is a beautiful piece of Cowboy history. At the time it was made, this was a top of the line saddle from one of the country’s most prestigious makers. The Lichtenberger Ferguson Co. Was a Los Angeles, California company that operated between the 1923 and 1959. Lichtenberger-Ferguson chaps, saddles and holsters were prized for their workmanship and style. They continue to be highly collectible pieces today. This saddle is maker marked on the front of the seat: LICHTENBERGER FERGUSON CO. / LOS ANGELES / MAKERS. The mark is stamped with a picture of a steer head in the middle. The patina given to the leather through long years of riding and layers of saddle oil have left a stellar dark color. The saddle has a 14 inch seat, 8″ gullet The name tag say “Gayle.
