PLEASE VIEW ALL 10 SUPERSIZED PICTURES, USE THE SCROLL BUTTON NEXT TO THE PICTURES!! Really cool vintage Carl Carlock saddle. The seat is 13 1/2 to the edge of the seat. Carlock saddles were made in Phoenix, AZ. My saddle repair guy dated this saddle to the 1940’s or 1950’s. The stirrup leathers(exposed style) are not original, they have a Blevins buckle which were not invented I think until the 1960’s. It has been ridden in a lot through the years so lots of wear. 13 Vintage Charro Horse Youth Saddle

GLUED ON LEATHER COVER ON HORN. LEATHER GIRTH STRAP & LEATHER CINCH STRAP. ADDITIONAL ITEMS; GREEN PAD. PAIR OF SPURS WITH LEATHERS. This saddle seems to be a mix of original and newer parts. This saddle was being used as Mexican decoration. And before using as a real riding saddle. Have an experienced saddle maker check it for safety. This seems like a solid saddle, but can see cracks in the tree. The leather is in fair condition considering it’s age. There are surface cracks throughout in the leather. There are a few scrapes & scratches from past useage. Inaddition, there are items with the saddle; lasso, spurs, hobbles and pad. This outfit has alot of color and looks great in any style home. There are two stamps on the leather portion of the seat, but not readable. Also, a label is on the wooden seat of the saddle and it reads. Esquina Hidalgo Y Galeana. It’s come that time to start down sizing my extra tack and clothes. Make sure you check out my store for other horse related items. Vintage Simco Western Saddle bought in the early 1980’s and took me to the Arabian Nationals. Simple and understated gorgeous dark leather. Arab tree with a 7 gullet, padding underneath is in excellent shape. 15 inch seat , 23.5 long skirt. As included matching Chocolate Riata & hobbles. Missing concho on back of saddle but hobbles cover it. Saddle plate has been engraved with my horses name.
