This saddle may have some slight blemishes. Will not show up in photo. That is natural for full grain cowhide. They say that “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”. She wanted to surprise me for my birthday. The one she got for me looked identical but, “IT WAS NOT ONE OF YOURS” I thanked her and asked her to return it. It sat so wonky on my guy that it would have sored him before we left the barn. Make sure it say TN SADDLERY or its not the real thing. Also available: Matching breast collar and bridle. 2 ply bridle leather. This quality tack is smooth supple leather…………. Our saddles are designed for TWH, but fit many of the southern gaited breeds. Light weight only about 26 pounds. Wood/fiberglass reinforced tree New and Stronger. Hand rubbed oil finish. Very soft, supple leather. Leather with nylon reinforced stirrup/fender straps. Prevents holes from stretching. High density foam padded leather seat. Lots of ties and rings. Neoprene foam underskirt for more comfort to the horse. Stirrups set slightly forward for a more balanced seat. In skirt Stainless Steel double rigging, with 6 copper rivets on each side. Use full, 7/8, 3/4 or crossfire rigging. Angled rear D for crossfire rigging. Our saddles are made to fit all types including short back horses. Cutaway skirt prevents interference to gait. Front D rings for breast collar. HD light weight, resin endurance stirrups. Double riveted and stitched rear D strap. 2 6′ girth straps for crossfire rigging. See youtube for instruction. Or you can use conventional rigging. This saddle has all the features of an expensive brand name saddle. But, not the expensive price. Full grain, soft, supple leather. Nicely padded and quilted leather seat. Strong polymer stirrups with 1 rubberized foot pad. We use quality leather. If you are not familiar with the term “full grain”…….. Its the best quality surface finish of leather available. Not filled, not shaved, not sanded… Chosen for its smooth natural quality. Full grain leather is not patched or coated, there may be some very minimal blemishes in the leather. This is natural and it does not affect the wear or usability of the saddle. These saddles are built on a specially designed gaited tree. It works well on most Tennessee Walkers, Spotted Saddle Horses, Racking Horses, and most of the other southern gaited breeds. If you have a MFT, Paso Fino, or Rocky Mountain, gaited horse that is difficult to fit, contact me for my recommendations. This saddle does not seem to fit most Arabians. Dixieland Custom made Gaited Saddle. This beautiful saddle is in very good condition. I believe it has a 16 seat- see pic with tape measure to be sure. The gullet measures 7 and is 15 wide at the base. I rode this saddle twice before retiring from riding. It has a slight scuff on the left hand side flap (pic included). Felt has almost no wear.
