16” Circle Y Equitation Saddle. Produced in November of 99. Silver skirt plating, conchos and saddle horn. Weighs about 28 pounds. Skirt is 26 long. Circle Y plate number is: 3660 1607 1199 04. From what I gathered on Circle Y website, the first four digits are model number, The “1” that comes after that is the tree size (regular tree / Semi QH Bars) the 60 denotes seat size, and the 7 denotes “Ultra Lite Oil”. The four digits of 1199 is the month and year made, and the 04 is simply a manufacturing number that not all saddles are given. Stainless Steel double rigging on both sides. Has breast collar D rings as well as small D rings on back conchos to attach strings /tie on equipment if desired. The total length of the saddle is 26. Comes with nylon tie strap & off billet. Overall condition is very very good. There are some light sweat marks, what looks to be some water spots. Minor tarnish to a couple silver places and overall minor scuffs/scratches/wear, a. Nd a place on the leather above the rigging that has what looks to be one loose stitch. Very light wear to the seat. It’s a used saddle, not a new one, and pointing out every imperfection in the leather is probably not possible even with a new one. But I do believe you’ll look a long time and not find a nicer 20 year old saddle. Possibly better quality than the ones being made today. I will take as many photos for you as you like and try to answer any questions you have, but please ask them before purchasing. I believe I’ve done everything within my power to show you this item honestly and completely, but if there is something I haven’t covered please ask. I have two of these saddles… This one in a 16 inch seat, and an identical one in a 14 inch seat. They were bought for a pair of different age kids at the same time, and always stored indoors and well cared for. They are a nice matched pair if anyone is shopping for two different sizes. I also have two breast collar and bridle sets that also came with these saddles…. I removed them and will be putting them into separate auctions as well. One is Circle Y brand, one is unbranded but they both appear to be nice quality tack and are a great match in color for these two saddles and have also been well cared for. That’s not much, when looking for a saddle. So I made videos for both of these saddles, panning over them with a camera and pointing out every little flaw I could find, everything I was seeing. This is for a pre-owned light oil 17 Circle Y Western Equitation Show saddle. This saddle is in good condition for an older saddle. The horn is scuffed all the way around almost like it was sanded or there was a wrapper on it. And there are som slight black dots on the cantle and the seat. They are not really noticable and not sure if they would come off but that is a blemish. Other than that it’s in nice condition. This saddle was made in Yoakum TX in the United States. It is stamped Circle Y of Yoakum, Inc and then under that it says Yoacum TX. The serial number is 2862170702970. It has an 17 seat seat with a double skirt and a suede seat. There is beautiful floral tooling all over the skirt and it has a Cheyenne roll, too. It has nice 3 1/2 cantle and a dark suede padded suede seat to help keep you in the saddle and on your horse. It has preturned tooled 5 1/2″ wide stirrups and the gullet measures about 8″. The skirt measures 27″ long and it comes with an off billet, tie strap and a 32″ black felt cinch made by Weaver. It has silver conchos, silver name plate on the cantle, plates on both of the skirts in the back corners as well as a silver horn cap. It weighs about 40 lbs. The fleece on the underside looks great. EDIT: This well crafted Circle Y saddle is in practically new condition. Ideal for a youth/teen, petite adult, show saddle (but not small child or small pony). A stunning 14 seat, western show saddle , medium ralide tree, made by Circle Y. The former owner’s daughter showed in it a few times, and rode only a few times at home. Excellent condition suede seat and all leather pieces, plus underneath is super clean and fluffy. No flaws or defects. I have kept it covered since it arrived. 14″ seat, Cantle is 4″, skirt is 26 1/4″ x 12 1/2″. Horn size is 2 1/2 neck. Saddle leather is like new and color will deepen when oiled. This would be a gorgeous saddle for the upcoming show season. Look at photos carefully to see the quality tooling. I will respond quickly to questions and will answer to the best of my knowledge. Beautiful saddle, barely used, with impeccable craftsmanship. I have lowered the price, which is half of what a new one would cost, and it is below appraised value for resale.
