Tex Tan Hereford Show Pleasure Equitation Saddle ; Vintage; 15″ seat; Quarter Horse Bars; Skirt is 27″; Weight is near 34#; Heavily Tooled; Real Silver trimmed conchos, corner plates, horn cap. Includes off-billet and tie strap. Saddle has only had two owners and I’ve only ridden in it a few times. This saddle hails from the era when Tex Tan manufactured, heavy, durable, long-lasting, forever saddles. It remains barely broken in. A real treasure for someone! Signs of age and use include: Thinning of the wool fleece in areas on the underside. As shown in the pic of the rope edge on cantle, there are a number of tiny, round insect holes in various places. Model #561 Synergist endurance saddle, John De Petrie Equitation model, brown leather with wide tree that is adjustable to a wide or x-wide horse via the Synergist company. Made for woman 54, 140 lbs with 29 inseam. Approximately 29 years old. 15 seat with attached sheepskin, original fenders have been replaced. Missing one of the cantle latigos but saddle is in good overall condition. Very comfy to ride in, weighs approximately 22 lbs with stirrups. Sheepskin fleece on underside is in overall great shape with some staining that is cosmetic only. Has dressage billets that may have some surface cracking.
