14 1/2 Western Saddle w Basketweave Tooling and Rawhide Laced Cantle

Barrel or trail saddle. This saddle has definately been used but it’s still sound and great for someone just starting out or even for breaking young horses. It has a 7″ full quarter horse bar gullet and a short 22″ skirt. Great for the short backed and smaller horses. It has 5 wide turned stirrups and blevins buckles for stirrup length adjustment. The horn has some damage on it. It’s not broken, some of the rawhide is coming off it. Also it’s missing two conchos on the left side. This saddle has a lot of use left in it. Full Silver Engraved Large Cantle Plate for Western Show Saddle. Western Show Saddle Full Silver Cantle Plate Do you have a saddle that you want to dress up with Silver? This is a beautiful piece of silver. This cantle plate measures 18 straight across the top from corner to corner. 2″ wide at the widest part in the center and tappers to 3/4″ at the ends. We have also created a template for you which will be included. If you are uncertain if this will fit your saddle please send us a picture of your saddle cantle with a measurement straight across. We need it to measure at least 18 from corner to corner. We have included a picture of this cantle plate on a show saddle however the picture shows it with different conchos. The conchos with screws that come with this plate will be the Diamond with Black Enamel as pictured. What we suggest is to. Place the template on the cantle of your saddle where you want the silver plate to be. Secure the template to the saddle with something like C Clamps. Once you have this done and have the template placed on your saddle where you would like the silver plate to be you will see that we have premarked the holes for you on the template. Now the scary part. You will drill a hole through the cantle of your saddle where each hole is marked on the template. You Must make sure to drill the holes exactly where the holes are marked on the template and make sure the template is secure and does not move. Once you have this done you will be able to remove the template and place the silver cantle plate on your saddle. Start with the center hole and insert that screw first and tighten. From there work your way down the cantle, shaping it to your saddle as you go. Secure and tighten the screws and you are all set! Here is your change to fancy up your saddle for much less.
