Vintage 16” Circle Y Silver Equitation Western Show Saddle SQHB, Excellent cond

16” Circle Y Equitation Saddle. Produced in November of 99. Silver skirt plating, conchos and saddle horn. Weighs about 28 pounds. Skirt is 26 long. Circle Y plate number is: 3660 1607 1199 04. From what I gathered on Circle Y website, the first four digits are model number, The “1” that comes after that is the tree size (regular tree / Semi QH Bars) the 60 denotes seat size, and the 7 denotes “Ultra Lite Oil”. The four digits of 1199 is the month and year made, and the 04 is simply a manufacturing number that not all saddles are given. Stainless Steel double rigging on both sides. Has breast collar D rings as well as small D rings on back conchos to attach strings /tie on equipment if desired. The total length of the saddle is 26. Comes with nylon tie strap & off billet. Overall condition is very very good. There are some light sweat marks, what looks to be some water spots. Minor tarnish to a couple silver places and overall minor scuffs/scratches/wear, a. Nd a place on the leather above the rigging that has what looks to be one loose stitch. Very light wear to the seat. It’s a used saddle, not a new one, and pointing out every imperfection in the leather is probably not possible even with a new one. But I do believe you’ll look a long time and not find a nicer 20 year old saddle. Possibly better quality than the ones being made today. I will take as many photos for you as you like and try to answer any questions you have, but please ask them before purchasing. I believe I’ve done everything within my power to show you this item honestly and completely, but if there is something I haven’t covered please ask. I have two of these saddles… This one in a 16 inch seat, and an identical one in a 14 inch seat. They were bought for a pair of different age kids at the same time, and always stored indoors and well cared for. They are a nice matched pair if anyone is shopping for two different sizes. I also have two breast collar and bridle sets that also came with these saddles…. I removed them and will be putting them into separate auctions as well. One is Circle Y brand, one is unbranded but they both appear to be nice quality tack and are a great match in color for these two saddles and have also been well cared for. That’s not much, when looking for a saddle. So I made videos for both of these saddles, panning over them with a camera and pointing out every little flaw I could find, everything I was seeing. Vintage Circle Y endurance Saddle. Leather seat 15 inches. Comes with Pad and cinch and other items as shown. Can’t fit it in box. Leather seat has some dimples, it has some scratches from wear and use. Has always been stored in the home so leather is nice and supple. The bridle that is shown has one area where leather is cracked from use. If you wanted to come by and pick it up I would gladly throw in the stand. Only used for pleasure riding. From a smoke free environment. The gullet between concho’s measures 11 inches. From curve of the leather it is 7 inches. Antique Powder River Western Saddle. Made by Powder River Saddlery / Denver Dry Goods, Denver, Colorado / USA. Dark brown, see pictures. This saddle might be made in the 1940’s or 1950’s, I’m not sure. You don’t often find a saddle of this age in such a great shape. Good condition, usual signs of use for the age with scratches. Very good for the age. It would not need no repair for the use. Just usual signs of use for the age (like superficial scratches). The leather straps and the Conchos are not original. We exchanged the conchos because one of the original type was missing. You can see the current conchos on the last picture. We live in Germany. To the UK: 35 Euros, Channel Islands 50 Euros. Inside panels of fenders are in good shape along with stitching. This has been kept indoors for over 15 yrs. If you are looking for a perfect specimen please move on. This is not the saddle for you. ATTN NEW PHOTOS ADDED– New Saddle Strings Installed On Saddle And Tapaderos–Corona Pad not included in sale. Up for sale is a 50-60s era Bona Allen Sunburst Parade Saddle complete with original Headstall/Breast strap. This is a nice vintage saddle saddle for being close to 60 yrs old. If you want a perfect specimen please find another listing. This saddle has been in my house for some time on a stand as show/conversation piece. This outfit is in fantastic shape for a 70 yr old saddle. Nice crisp leather carving, and Fleece pad still has lots of life left. Fleece inside of toes of tapaderos are still intact and good shape. It is not ragged or deteriorating. Stitching is tight and strong. I had my local leather smith install new strings on the saddle and tapaderos (see new pic). For the time I have had this saddle I have never put anything other than Fiebings saddle soap to keep the leather. There are no tears or gashes in the seat. The seat is a 15.5 inch seat. The headstall has had a minor repair over the years but nothing serious. I probably would have new buckles to replace the old rusty originals. The breast strap has had a minor repair but nothing serious. In my opinion it is fully functional. The saddle itself is solid with no rotted torn/weak leather. You could put this on your horse immediately. This saddle has NOT been abused over the years. Both Tapaderos are in great shape also. These outfits are rare to find complete. Nice outfit for a fraction of a Bohlin- Lovins -flowers outfit with equal quality. If you have any?? FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER, ALL I CAN SAY IS NO.
