Have only ridden in this saddle a few times, and didnt have any trouble lifting the 25 lb. After surgery, I can no longer place it on my geldings back. You have found a really good Circle Y saddle made right here in the great state of Texas in Mountain Home. This is designed for cutting however, you won’t find a better saddle for just about any ranch work, trail riding or show. This saddle has a good seat, good fenders no cracks, good stirrups, good skirt no cracks, good rawhide horn, a like new wool bottom and it comes with a latigo, off billet and a good girth. As you take a look at the images offered, you will see the detailed tooling, silver chonchos, silver skirt corner trim plates and even a silver Circle Y button that covers the top of the rawhide wrapped horn. The tooling looks great all around, on the skirt and on the fenders and again, no cracks. All the silver looks great. The the rawhide horn is in good shape and yea, the wool bottom looks near new. The billet is in good shape as well as the latigo and the girth. As you look at the images, you will see a small silver button at the bottom of the skirt about. S in Mountain Home. This saddle has a good seat, good fenders, good stirrups, good skirt, good rawhide horn, a like new wool bottom and it comes with a latigo, off billet and a good girth. As you take a look at the images offered, you will see the detailed tooling, silver c. Onchos, silver skirt corner trim plates and even a silver Circle Y button that covers the top of the rawhide wrapped horn. The tooling looks great all around, on the skirt and on the fenders. 15.5 Circle Y – Show/trail saddle. This saddle features a 15.5″ brown padded suede seat, Standard Quarter Horse bars, 6 1/2″ gullet, Rawhide wrapped wood tree (which is hard to find in a show saddle any more), 3″ cantle, silver on back of skirt and cantle the cantle silver doesn’t say anything and is just a clean plate, double rigging (to be able to adjust to different horse shapes, or riding), slot for back billets and back cinch if you wanted, breast collar dee rings with a matching breast collar, 5″ wide matching leather wrapped stirrups, fleece is good, and weight is about 32lbs. Every time I get one of these older Circle Y’s in I drool. They sure don’t make them the same any more. This beautiful saddle was made in 1989! Just look at the quality of leather and workmanship the builders once used. These older saddles were built, not to just be the prettiest saddle in the show ring, but to last for generations. And, have a character that the new saddles just don’t have. This saddle is a used saddle, but was has been taken care of and is gonna keep on winning shows and be a treasure to the next owners.
