Crates Classic Trail Western Saddle With Round Skirt and Corner Basket Stamped. This is a top popular Trail Saddle from Crates with neat round skirts, 26″ x 13″, made on the Steele “Equi-Fit” Crates trail tree, with narrow center pocket seat, Quarterhorse bars. Soft grain-out padded seat of soft Chap Leather. The rigging is the Double-C In-Skirt which fits a broader range of horses. Partial Basket Weave Tooling. Stirrups have been replaced with Tucker Ergobalance Hooded Trail Glide Stirrups. Tree: Equi-Fit Trail, Fiberglass Covered Wood. Horn: Trail 3.5 High, 2.5” Cap. Rigging: Double C In-Skirt Stainless Steel. Skirt: 27″ x 13″ Saddlefleece Lined. Weight: Approximatley 29 lbs. Used, but in good contition. Saddle has normal wear on seat and fenders. BILLY COOK SADDLERY, GREENVILLE, TX #1852 SEAT SIZE = 15 FQHB FULLY TOOLED This is a used saddle. The serial number is shown in the pictures. There is also a picture of the Billy Cook stamp under the cantle. We had to use the snap on video tool to get a picture of this stamp. This saddle weighs about 30 lbs. The concho’s have been replaced, they are NOT original to the saddle. The blevins buckles are brand new and have recently been replaced on this saddle by a qualified saddle repairman. This saddle is ready for use and long hours on the trail. The tree on this saddle is sound. The fleece on the bottom side is in good condition. There is a small area that it is coming loose but should not affect the usefulness of the saddle. All the rigging is in good working order. This is a heavy well made older saddle that has years of use left in it. Well kept and oiled. I do have other vintageitems and equine items. If you love vintage items or equine items as muchas I do many of these items were found during a road trips in South Central PAand around estate sales. I do not claim to know items specifics in regard toantiquity. The vintage/retro items in my shop are previously owned so theymight not be in mint or perfect condition.
