Here is a very nice used all leather Haflinger sized western saddle. A SIMCO Saddle, made in the USA. This is built on a “haflinger tree” – so it is designed to fit a haflinger with a short back, low withers. I tried this on several haflingers at our barn. It fits a mid-sized Haffie very well. Our model in the photo is about 14 hh and in an english saddle he wears a medium /medium wide. This is short enough for his back, and it is fairly flat front to back, so it does not rock. The back of the saddle is fairly flat also, so it sets on his back nicely. Unfortunately, it did not fit my 14.2 hh haffie that wears an extra wide in a dressage saddle. She needs more of a draft size saddle. This comes with both a brown nylon cinch strap and the off billet – they just were not on it for the photos. The pad shown is not included.
