Vintage SIMCO Parade of Diamonds16 black leather Western parade saddle tapadero

This is a lovely Simco Parade Of Diamonds saddle. It is in very good condition, and shows very little use. The flash did make some of the diamonds appear brassy, but they are not. The stirrup leathers do not show any real markings. The point at which the Blevins type buckles are attached, of course, is apparent, but that would be true even if the saddle were never used. If the saddle has been used, its use is not obvious. All of the little silver colored diamonds are present, bright, and shiny. The horn and tree are tight. Everything about the saddle seems to suggest it just sat around on display. This is a nice, well made, entry level parade saddle which would also make a lovely every day pleasure saddle. SIMCO 5545 15.5 Western Saddle Horse Ranch Team Roping Trail Pleasure Cowboy. Came from a local estate. Includes the original paperwork, very ornately tooled leather with ornate brass medallions. I quickly wiped over it with Meguiars leather cleaner as it was dusty. The leather saddle is pliable and not stiff. Some light wear to the inside of the stirrups from being used. I did not polish the medallions. There is some wear to the straps that go around the body of the horse. One of these straps has come off it looks like it came off the rivets. Includes the bridle set up but there is surface rust to the chrome but the straps are in nice shape. Unsure of the age but I would guess 1980s based on the look of the people in the paperwork. This is a new western saddle from Simco, model #ZS244. It has a 16 natural gold suede seat and is natural gold with silver conchos. The saddle comes with both front latigos. Brand: Simco, model #ZS244. Rigging: Front nylon latigos. Finish: Edge tooled leather on skirt. Seat: 16 natural gold suede. Skirts: 28 Close Contact. Blemishes: There is a small surface scrape on the left jockey that would probably cover up with a bit of oil and some darker lines in the leather. There is also a line in the suede of the seat. All are cosmetic, are not that noticeable, and do not affect the structure or usability of the saddle. The saddle has front and back D-rings. An excellent, well made trail or pleasure.
