What I have here is a very nice sturdy Hereford used ranch working saddle / Pleasure. This saddle has been on the family ranch since it was new. It has been a very nice working saddle for us. It has a 15.5 inch seat, 7 inch gullet. My son roughed it out, scraped off all the design and turned it into a rough out. He left the skirt alone still has nice tooling. The last picture faintly shows the Hereford emblem on the fender. He bought a new saddle, so now I need to sell this one. Hereford working ranch saddle with rope holder and tapaderos. Stirrups have what look like Cashel EZ knees stirrup rotators. I won’t swear they’re that brand but they look like them. Saddle is in good, but used condition. Fleece is in good condition. The two conchas at the base of the cantle are missing. It looks like someone removed the purposely – there’s no damage there. There’s small tacks in the leather around the rope holder hardware on the pommel – looks like it had a hard pull that tore the leather a bit. Rest of the saddle is in good condition for an older saddle. Besides, it’s a Hereford, so it’s built like a tank. See pictures for specifics on damage. Best I can tell the gullet is 6.75. The seat is 15″ to the front of the cantle, 15.25″ to the stitching. Gene Bader cutting western saddle 16 inch great for working cow horse. I bought this saddle used and in good condition. It does not fit the horse I bought it for. The previous owner said that he had his saddle maker restore the seat and fleece. The stitching has been mended. The leather on the back housing and skirt has some tiny surface cracks. Please see photos for reference. The skirt is somewhat stiff, but the saddle is usable. Ive oiled it, and it gets softer with each oiling. The fenders and jockey are roughout, and are flexible, not super soft, but not stiff. This saddle is NON RETURNABLE. This sale is FINAL.
