This is a very cute, vintage Hereford Tex Tan saddle. It has beautiful floral tooling, which was all done by hand back in the day. Comes with the original back cinch, Latigo and off billet and original conchos. I have done some light trail riding in this saddle for the past couple of years. It is comfortable, with a nice supportive seat. The leather is still in very good condition. The tree is sturdy, sound and straight. The fleece is worn a bit with age but still good. PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES FOR MORE DETAILED CONDITION. The seat measures 16″, and concho-concho gullet width is 7″. It’s definitely a vintage well-made saddle but has lots of life left! Nice soft pliable condition- suede seat is good and with the rough out jockeys gives a great grip. Underside fleece is in good shape- Rigging, horn and tree are in tight solid shape and it has nice nylon rigging straps with a mohair style cinch. New stirrup hobbles on and blevins buckles work nicely- Rawhide stirrups look newer- and saddle is partial tooled leather with some unique square silver conchos. What I have here is a very nice sturdy Hereford used ranch working saddle / Pleasure. This saddle has been on the family ranch since it was new. It has been a very nice working saddle for us. It has a 15.5 inch seat, 7 inch gullet. My son roughed it out, scraped off all the design and turned it into a rough out. He left the skirt alone still has nice tooling. The last picture faintly shows the Hereford emblem on the fender. He bought a new saddle, so now I need to sell this one.
