Brian Castagno 16 wade saddle with really nice arrowhead geometric tooling on the cantle, rear jockeys, and swell. The fenders and seat have a sharp looking running W border stamp. This saddle has been awesome, as a custom saddle maker I have admired Brian for his unbelievable construction, tooling, and beautiful lines. The specs on the saddle are as follows; gullet 6 ¼ x 7 x ½, 12 x 4 cantle, 3 x 3 wood post horn with a domed cap. It has flat plate rigging at the 7/8. The stirrup leathers are perfect for a taller gentleman and are quick to change with Blevins buckles, my wife has used the saddle occasionally too and the stirrup leathers will adjust to fit her 56 height. It has a nice, long Oregon Cross over rope strap and long latigo ties. This saddle has been awesome! It is used but still has a lot of life left in it. The saddle does have some scratches in the left fender from being on a horse in a trailer. These are unfortunate blemishes but they do not affect the longevity of the leather. The saddle was just fully oiled and is ready for someone to enjoy as much as I have! Reasonable offers will be accepted. PLEASE VIEW ALL 10 SUPERSIZED PICTURES, USE THE SCROLL BUTTON NEXT TO THE PICTURES!! Really cool vintage Carl Carlock saddle. The seat is 13 1/2 to the edge of the seat. Carlock saddles were made in Phoenix, AZ. My saddle repair guy dated this saddle to the 1940’s or 1950’s. The stirrup leathers(exposed style) are not original, they have a Blevins buckle which were not invented I think until the 1960’s. It has been ridden in a lot through the years so lots of wear.
