Here are the saddle particulars. 15.5 padded red leather seat (measured from front of seat to Cheyenne roll). Basket stamped leather construction. Corner conchos and chrome plated brass diamonds along the edges. In-skirt front and rear rigging. Slotted rosettes with white strings. Wood tree with 6.5. Gullet / Semi qh bars. Metal bound wood stirrups with leather tapaderos (covers). 2.5 wide leather stirrup straps. Quick change buckle stirrup adjustment. Weighs approx 33 lbs. Silver Marshall Field Hand Made Western Parade Saddle, Bridle Long Tapaderos

Lovely 16 Rare Hand Made Marshall Fields Parade saddle. The leather is in very good condition, and pliable throughout. The tapaderos are long, show little wear, and are in excellent shape.. They are in very well decorated and really eye catching! The hand carving is deep and beautiful, and the taps hang down low. They are turned sideways resting on the floor in the first picture, but will actually hang down about 18 inches. The leather of the saddle is all very pliable and very good, there is deep hand tooling in a very deep and beautiful pattern that time has not disturbed. Somebody has recently polished the silver, and little traces of the polish material can still be seen. It all looks strikingly good though. Some of the silver shows some tarnish still, so I believe, there may be some light degree of silver on some of the different pieces. However, most is not real silver… The bridle is lovely, has long, poco type silver adorned reins and the cheekpieces and browband have some of the same small silver adornments seen on the saddle. The bit was heavily tarnished and I feel certain is sterling overlay. The pommel and cantle are largely silver colored. The effect is quite lovely. The seat is a strong 16 inch, measured from the inside rim of the cantle straight across to the same level on the pommel. Ready to ride, just in time for the parade season. Silver Ted Flowers Parade Saddle, Bridle, Breastplate Rare Brown Leather

Lovely 15 Brown Ted Flowers Parade saddle. The leather is in very good condition, and pliable throughout. The tapaderos are on a swivel attachment, making stirrups easy to slide into. They are in good condition and really eyecatching! The leather of the saddle is basically very pliable and good, there are a couple spots on the metal that would improve with a little cleaning. I have not done any cleaning. The seat is suede, which would indicate it is a little later model Ted Flowers. The bridle is lovely, has long, newish reins and a pretty face chain to accompany all of the silver adornments. There is one Concho missing on the silver piece in the center of the brow band just where the forelock would cover. Additionally, One silver drop has come unattached from the breastplate, but is there, and currently attached to the leather strap that descends to the girth but lying on top of the breastplate in the photo… The distance from the overhead light makes the tapaderos look darker. All of the leather matches nicely. This saddle is part of a numbered collection of parade saddles owned by a posse group which performed over a large area. It is numbered, engraved in the silver in rear of the cantle, with a large 15. I have a matching 16+ inch Ted Flowers outfit that I will try and post in the next few days…. They would be great together. It is saddle number #20 in this grouping. Vintage SIMCO Parade of Diamonds16 black leather Western parade saddle tapadero

This is a lovely Simco Parade Of Diamonds saddle. It is in very good condition, and shows very little use. The flash did make some of the diamonds appear brassy, but they are not. The stirrup leathers do not show any real markings. The point at which the Blevins type buckles are attached, of course, is apparent, but that would be true even if the saddle were never used. If the saddle has been used, its use is not obvious. All of the little silver colored diamonds are present, bright, and shiny. The horn and tree are tight. Everything about the saddle seems to suggest it just sat around on display. This is a nice, well made, entry level parade saddle which would also make a lovely every day pleasure saddle. Nice vintage parade saddle. 15.5 inch seat. All strings and latigos. Has a nice girth. No back girth but has back latigos. Black with silver color diamond all present. Comes with matching bridle with a 5 inch mouthpiece aluminum vintage Colorado bit and spur co. Also has a matching breastcollar, with tugs and strap that buckles over horses neck. Bottom fleece in good shape, has a bit of red stain from a saddle blanket. Has white strings and a white leather rope holder. For Sale: Super cool, Rare 60s Ted Flowers white /silver parade pony saddle complete (seat measures 13.5 inches). Saddle has been kept in climate controlled room for many years and is solid with no missing spots on saddle, bridle, reins, breast collar, tapaderos or serape. Fleece is original and in great shape. I have left this outfit in its original condition. I have seen only 2 in my travels and I own 1 of them. All leather is solid and could be put on a horse/pony today. The throat latch strap on the bridle is the only piece of leather that would need to be replaced. Saddle and accessories could be restored back to its original white color. But, it looks just fine w/the aged patina that it has acquired over the years. A nice outfit to exhibit in your Barn office or house for a saddle collector. Made by Longhorn, this saddle has a slick seat with partial basket weave tooling on skirts, fenders and pommel/jockeys. Skirts and fenders are bordered with silver diamond studs. It has 4 sets of rear saddle strings, metal oxbow stirrups, and attached saddle bags. It comes with a matching browband headstall with a caveson/noseband, split reins, and a shanked snaffle bit. Also comes with a matching canteen. This saddle is in fair to good condition. Shows signs of wear and age. Fleece lining is in decent shape with one spot approx. 2 under the right fender that is worn thin and separated from skirt. Stirrup leathers appear to be sound.
