Up for sale is a 50-60s era Bona Allen Sunburst Parade Saddle complete with original Headstall/Breast strap. This is a nice vintage saddle saddle for being close to 60 yrs old. If you want a perfect specimen please find another listing. This saddle has been in my house for some time on a stand as show/conversation piece. This outfit is in fantastic shape for a 70 yr old saddle. Nice crisp leather carving, and Fleece pad still has lots of life left. Fleece inside of toes of tapaderos are still intact and good shape. It is not ragged or deteriorating. Stitching is tight and strong. I had my local leather smith install new strings on the saddle and tapaderos (see new pic). For the time I have had this saddle I have never put anything other than Fiebings saddle soap to keep the leather. There are no tears or gashes in the seat. The seat is a 15.5 inch seat. The headstall has had a minor repair over the years but nothing serious. I probably would have new buckles to replace the old rusty originals. The breast strap has had a minor repair but nothing serious. In my opinion it is fully functional. The saddle itself is solid with no rotted torn/weak leather. You could put this on your horse immediately. This saddle has NOT been abused over the years. Both Tapaderos are in great shape also. These outfits are rare to find complete.
